There’s a Place in the Pack: Meet Southern Running Collective
Share
We met Danielle Southern, founder of Southern Running Collective, at the recent Cherokee Run Club race—and quickly realized we share a pretty simple belief:
Running belongs to everyone.
Founded in 2025, Southern Running Collective was created specifically to support middle- and back-of-the-pack runners. Through run coaching cohorts, community resources, and connections to pace-inclusive clubs, races, providers and brands, Danielle is working to make distance running feel a little less intimidating and a lot more welcoming.
As an RRCA-certified running coach and Registered Dietitian, Danielle understands that not every runner is chasing a podium—or even a faster pace. Sometimes the goal is simply to cover a distance you weren’t sure you could cover, find people who will be there with you, and discover that yes, you belong here too.
That message really resonates with us at Run Slick.
We believe movement changes people, and anything that helps more people get out there and keep moving is worth supporting. Whether you're at the front of the pack, somewhere in the middle, or making the course crew wait a little longer, the miles still count.
And, of course, spending more time out there can mean more time dealing with sweat, friction and chafing—which is how Run Slick found its way into the conversation.
After trying it before a workout, Danielle sent us this note:
“I tried Run Slick before a workout, and I'm a fan! It didn't stain clothes or feel greasy.”
We'll take it.
More importantly, we're excited to see what Danielle and Southern Running Collective are building for runners throughout Metro Atlanta and beyond.
Welcome to your place in the pack.
